Costa Mesa - November 8, 2006 - Free flu shots, free health screenings and book signings will headline the grand opening festivities for the new in-store Lindora Health Clinic inside the Rite Aid at 211 East 17th Street in Costa Mesa. The weeklong grand opening festivities are scheduled next week, November 13-17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free screenings include cholesterol, blood glucose, diabetes and bone density, and 200 free flu shots will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, best-selling author Cynthia Stamper Graff, president of Lindora, will make two special appearances and sign copies of her successful "Lean for Life" book, which focuses on strategies for weight loss and achieving a healthy lifestyle.

Lindora Health Clinics are staffed by nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals who administer intensive supervised weight control services as well as treat a variety of non-emergency acute care conditions. Basic services include diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses such as ear infections, strep throat, flu symptoms, sinus infections, poison ivy and rashes; commonly-used prescriptions will be written to treat these illnesses. Vaccinations for flu, hepatitis, meningitis, pneumonia and chickenpox are available and physical and sports exams are offered.
